Theme

As the name suggests, the theme of Lucky Apocalypse takes you to a world of zombies, where you, Ryan, are the hero who is on a spree to kill all of them. Set in a zombie-infested city, Ryan changes his previous fun-loving personality to an all-new battled-hardened figure. The symbols include zombie-like creatures and post-apocalyptic survival items such as first aid, knives, etc., which fit well into the theme.

Graphics, Sounds and Animations

It won’t be wrong to say that Lucky Apocalypse is a blend of stunning graphics, perfect sounds, and pretty cool animations, making the game a complete package for any slot lover. The game is set in a dystopian city, featuring Ryan’s pub at the center. The pub is barricaded, and roads have abandoned vehicles, creating chaos well suited for the theme. Ryan is depicted as a cigar-smoking badass, adding a twist to the traditional character.

The soundtrack of Lucky Apocalypse complements the theme very well. It is haunting and catchy and enhances the tension and mystery of the post-apocalyptic environment. Different sounds are added for avalanches, winnings, and other game features, which further boost the excitement during the gameplay.

The game features avalanche animations. Here, the winning symbols are removed with a burst and replaced with new symbols. The animations become more intense during the free spins with increased multipliers that enhance the visual experience of a player.

RTP, Payout and Volatility

Lucky Apocalypse has a default RTP of 96%. However, it is also available in lower configurations at 94% and 90.5%. The game offers a relatively high RTP, which is favorable for players seeking consistent returns.

The game offers a generous payout with a maximum winning potential of 12,500x of the bet. This can be achieved through a combination of features like Avalanche wins, Gigablox, and free spins. The game has a scatter pay system rather than the traditional paylines, meaning that 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid are paid.

Lucky Apocalypse is classified as a high-volatility slot. This means that players have a higher risk of losing spins without winning. Wins are less frequent but can be significant when they come.

Gameplay

The game features a 6×5 setup in an abandoned neighborhood outside Ryan’s pub. The gameplay is engaging and gives a thrilling experience. The wins are determined by a scatter pay system requiring 8 or more symbols to match anywhere on the grid. Here’s how to play the game:

  1. Select a bet size between 0.20 and 100. Also, check the symbols and their payouts to familiarize yourself.
  2. Click the spin button to start the game.
  3. You can use the Autoplay feature to set automated spins.
  4. Keep an eye on the progress bar to unlock bonuses.

There are a lot of symbols in the game that pay differently. They are further categorized as low-paying and high-paying symbols. High-paying symbols include Red, Purple, Green, and Blue Zombie. While the low-paying symbols are a First Aid Kit, Pen, Knife, Pill Container, and Whiskey Bottle. The zombie symbols award payouts between 7.5x and 25x the bet for wins of 15 or more symbols, which is the maximum.

Wild Symbol

The Wild Symbol is represented by a grenade. It substitutes all paying symbols except the Free Spins Scatter Symbol and helps complete the winning combinations.

Features

The game features include Progress Bar and Gigablox, which are available in the base game as well as in free spins. Also, a bonus buy is there.

Gigablox

It’s a prominent symbol that is a cluster of 1×1 symbols. It appears as a 2×2, 3×3, or 4×4 symbol. The Gigablox symbol splits into 1×1 symbols of the same kind upon being part of a win. A Gigablox can also split if irregular empty gaps appear under it during an avalanche.

Progress Bar

There is a Progress Bar feature in the base game and in free spins. Each consecutive win in a single wager adds 1 point to the bar. In the base game, reaching certain point thresholds on the bar triggers additional features.

  • After four consecutive wins, a random Gigablox symbol appears on the reels.
  • After six straight wins, 1-4 Wild symbols fall.
  • After nine consecutive wins, 8 free spins are triggered.

Note that after 9 consecutive wins, no further wins are added to the bar.

Zombie Horde

On each non-spinning win, there’s a random chance of the Zombie Horde feature to trigger. The feature turns a random number of non-winning symbols into high-paying symbols that form a winning combination.
