The overall theme of the Cats of Olympuss slot is a cute, cartoonish ancient Olumpus(s) where cats reign. Regular rounds

Cats of Olympus uses a standard 5×3 grid, but not every symbol can land on any reel. There are some specific rules about it:

• Regular paying symbols can land on any reel
• Instant Prize coins land only on the side reels (1st and 5th)
• Wilds and Scatters land only on the three middle reels (2nd, 3rd, and 4th)

There are nine regular paying symbols in the game that pay from 0.05x to 5x. The lower four look like gem amulets, but on closer look they’re cat treats, especially since every single one of them has a small corner bitten off. Following them come a fish and Greek harp, and then the smirking cats themselves. It’s worth noting that the highest paying regular symbol, a Zeus-like tomcat, pays even when only two of it land on a payline, unlike every other symbol which requires a minimum of three.

 

Free Spins

The interesting part here is that the free spins minigame is played on not one but four separate grids. Depending on the number of scatters that triggered them, 1, 2, 3, or 4 will be activated from the very start.

• 3 Scatters = 1 grid
• 4 Scatters = 2 grids
• 5 Scatters = 3 grids
• 6 Scatters = 4 grids

Your first move is to draw two chubby cat cards. The first one determines the number of free spins that you get, and it can be 6, 7, 8, or 10. The second one determines your upgrade, which can be a Stacked Wild symbol or a removal of a lower-paying symbol. Potentially, all lower-paying symbols can be removed. The Instant Prize coins land during free spins as well, and five of them unlock another grid. Unless you started with all four grids, that is. This also triggers another Card Pick, every time a new grid is unlocked.

Furry Feline Features

Cats of Olympuss includes some usual slot features, such as the Wilds and Scatters, as well as some unique ones. The free spins minigame is especially innovative.  

• Wild Symbol – It can land on the three middle (2nd, 3rd, and 4th) reels and substitutes any symbol other than the Instant Prize and Scatter.
• Stacked Wild Symbol – Appears only during free spins. It substitutes any other symbol and may carry a multiplier. The multiplier’s value can be anywhere from 2x to 8x, and it multiplies the wins by the Instant Prize symbols. It covers the full reel but counts as a single symbol. If there’s more than one Stacked Wild symbol included in a win, their multipliers are multiplied together.
• Instant Prize Coins – They land on the side reels (1st and 5th) and pay when they create a combination with at least two Wild symbols in consecutive reels. The combination pays from left to right, with possible values from 1x to 1,000x. 
• Scatters Symbol – It can land on the three middle (2nd, 3rd, and 4th) reels, and can be either a single one or a double. A double one counts as two Scatter symbols. Three or more of it during the regular spins trigger the free spins.
