#Gemblast Introduction
Gemblast
Gem Blast by Endorphina Game Overview
Gem Blast is one of the simpler titles from Endorphina games, with no complications in gameplay whatsoever. Released in February 2021, the Gem Blast slot game has a decent combination of RTP and volatility and features gameplay that can be exciting if the overt theme of gems is your thing.
After playing it for several hours, I thoroughly reviewed the game. Here’s everything I found to be interesting (and not so interesting) in this Endorphina slot.
Pros
- Broad betting range
- Sticky expanding wilds
- Compatible with smartphone gameplay
- Solid RTP and volatility
Cons
- No free spins
Gem Blast Slot Review
The Gem Blast slot machine by Endorphina is a pretty standard game, or at least that’s what I think after reviewing it. Endorphina Games has rarely strayed from run-of-the-mill casino games, and this slot is no different. I can see the appeal of such games because, as a player, I, too, want to play an online slot machine game that doesn’t reinvent the wheel. Quite the opposite, sometimes you just want to unwind and relax with a familiar format.
That’s precisely what the Gem Blast slot is for me, and in this comprehensive review, I’m going to talk about it from multiple perspectives. From analyzing its theme to examining its RTP and variance, I’ll be focusing on everything in this slot review.
Theme
Many online casino games from Endorphina are designed with familiar and conventional themes in mind. I think slots like Asgardians, Cash Tank, The Rise of AI, and many more have relatively regular themes, and thus, it feels like they’re there for the sake of it. I can see that this is the case with Gem Blast, too.
The majority of the symbols are pretty gems, and nothing more than that. This sort of thing never has any bearing on the mechanics of the game, since some might argue that that is what matters the most for a slot game. However, I think that not having a storyline at all, let alone a consistent storyline that at least makes the game palatable in some way, has impacted my overall experience.
Graphics, Sounds, and Animation
Like the theme, the symbols seem to be there for the sake of it. While they look vibrant, a certain liveliness is missing that would have otherwise made the game more engaging. Another oddity to explore in this case is the background. It’s a starry, dreamy scene featuring northern lights in front of which there’s a grid of gems, but the visuals aren’t engaging enough to keep me hooked.
The animations and sounds aren’t the best features of this game either, but they make do. Lastly, there’s no soundtrack, which further reduces the fun.
RTP, Payout, and Volatility
Like most games from Endorphina, Gem Blast has an RTP (return to player) of 96.06%, which is barely any higher than the average RTP slot machine games. However, this is a video slot with high volatility, which means that even though the wins aren’t that frequent, it’s a big payout when the lightning strikes.
This is one of the better qualities of the game, in my opinion. Those looking for an extensive betting range for varied strategies to gamble will find the range of €0.01 to €200 more than enough to work with. In a world where unrealistic max win potential messes with the user’s perception, Gem Blast has a high yet palpable max win of 2,000x.
Gameplay and Paytable
There’s a classic 5×3 grid design in Gem Blast, which has a pretty decent design that aims to deliver convenience to the user. That’s because there’s a pretty helpful autoplay feature, and it is complemented further by the turbo spin feature, which makes the game a lot faster. There are 10 paylines, as well. It’s also available on most devices, which is a saving grace for it, and it’s usually available on some of the best online casinos.
In terms of symbols, the game has several types of gems and special expanding wilds that can turn into any other symbols. The paytable includes the diamond star, which is one of the more moderate symbols, while the yellow and orange gems are the highest-paying symbols in the game.
Bonus Features
There aren’t many bonus features on Gem Blast. However, there are respins that keep the experience fresh, though they are conditional. Furthermore, if you want to gamble for even bigger wins, there’s the Risk Game to look out for. In my opinion, it’s a good substitute for traditional bonus games.
Risk Game
Unlike being triggered through special symbols, you can play the bonus game by clicking on the option at the bottom left. The Risk Game includes five cards, and choosing the right card will increase your overall win.
However, choosing the wrong card could erase everything, and this element of thrill made the game thoroughly enjoyable for me.
Respin
The Star Wild functions as the wild symbol from reels two to four and is the trigger for the respin round. They expand to cover the reel vertically. In this phase, there can be only up to three respins, and while they’re not precisely free spins, they do serve their function.
