Wheel of Fortune Game Review

I started out with Wheel of Fortune, hoping it would be a typical wheel game with attractive dealers stating the obvious. However, when my eyes came across the multiple betting outcomes and the lucrative jackpot symbol with 18:1 odds, I became curious. With common betting strategies, like focussing on odd/even results, I achieved a 50/50 chance of winning. If you’re in for a risky little game of luck, read on about my experience in this Wheel of Fortune review.

Theme

Wheel of Fortune has a straightforward land-based casino theme, supporting enjoyable and focused gaming. It’s evident that BetGames hasn’t tried to infuse the production with over-the-top fantasy concept or flashy cartoon characters. Instead, it’s the classic big money wheel, set in a sleek, modern studio that steals the spotlight, making the game feel more like a high-end TV game show than a loud casino floor.

The warm lighting and clean design really let the wheel and the host take center stage, which adds a welcoming charm. The theme only revolves around the wheel and the anticipation of where it will stop for me. Throughout the game, I never needed to feel worried about getting distracted by neon animations or weird side plots and my focus was on the winning number.

Graphics, Sounds and Animations

Wheel of Fortune is a highly polished production with a sleek layout. It shows a real live video feed, streamed in up to 1080p HD, with dealers that move and speak with grace in brightly lit studio rooms. The whole setup has a premium broadcast feel that warmed me up instantly. The focal point, the giant wheel, is sharply designed with contrasting sectors and bold numbers, easy to see even on a mobile.

BetGames has kept the animated effects minimal. It features no Augmented Reality characters, unlike live dealer games like Crazy Time or Monopoly Live. You’ll mostly see simple digital overlays showing the winning sector after each spin. After playing many animation-heavy live casino games, I found the minimal effects relieving and akin to traditional TV games, which made me nostalgic.

Like most modern live dealer games you’ll find on top new casino sites, Wheel of Fortune comes with a pretty understated soundtrack. What really stands out to me is the presenter’s calm, confident voice, which gives the whole experience a genuine, authentic feel. There’s also a light, jingle-like tune playing in the background, clearly added to make things a bit more interactive, but honestly, I found it pretty forgettable.

RTP, Payout and Volatility

The Wheel of Fortune game boasts a 94.74% RTP rate, which is insightful when evaluating your potential earnings over time. The RTP is slightly higher than some traditional free to play games. Note that it is a game of chance, so your experience in every round may more or less align with the RTP but won’t exactly reflect it.

The maximum payout is €1,000,000 (1 million), which, according to me, is quite generous. Most live wheel games like Dream Catcher by Evolution or Mega Wheel by Pragmatic Play do not even officially state a cap this high. Their maximum amount is capped in the range of €100,000 to €500,000.

There is no information on the game’s volatility. But by looking at the odds and bet structure, you can sense it. Since players typically chase higher payouts, like individual sectors at 18-1 or combination bets, your session results can have medium to high volatility.

Gameplay

This live-streamed betting game is packed with multiple betting options, generous fixed odds, and non-stop thrills. At the center of it all is a giant wheel divided into 19 segments, each waiting to determine your fate. The segments are numbered from 1 to 18, while the 19th sector stands out with a special cup symbol. If your bet lands on it, you’ll be treated to a jackpot payout at odds of 17.5, something that gives a real adrenaline rush!

The anticipation starts building every 80 seconds as the wheel is set for another clockwise spin. Before that, you get to place your bets on numbers, colors, or whether the outcome will be odd or even. If you feel adventurous during live dealer games like I do, make the most of it by going for extended odds. Place a bet on an odd or even result within your chosen color and add an extra layer of excitement to every game round.

Once all bets are placed, the friendly presenter hits the start button. The wheel spins gracefully in a clockwise direction, gaining speed as it whirls around. Finally, it slows down, and that’s when all eyes are on the pointer as it clicks past the segments, coming to rest on a number or that coveted jackpot symbol. That’s when the excitement hits its peak, win or lose, every spin keeps you hooked and eager for the next round.

If you dream of winning the maximum bet, there’s only one way, i.e., choosing the jackpot symbol. Unless you’re betting on its sector, all wagers lose when the pointer lands on the jackpot.

What I found very intriguing is the combination of odds/evens with color. Fairly broad bets like over/under and odds/evens pay 2-1. I found it to be quite generous compared to the usual even-money style payouts in a lot of games. You can notice it too from this table.

Bet Type Odds
Over/Under on 9.5 margin 2-1
Odds/Evens 2-1
Betting on colors 3-1
Betting on six-number ranges 3-1
Color combo with odds/evens bet 6-1
Individual sectors (including the cup) 18-1

Wheel of Fortune also allows you to place a combination bet, which is made from different bets from different games, where to win a combination, you have to win both bets. You may mix your stake with Dice, Dice Duel, Lucky 7, Lucky 6, and Lucky 5. For instance, you might bet that The Wheel of Fortune lands in a sector under 9.5, and the Lucky 7 draw shows more odd numbers than even.

After choosing a betting category and the outcome of the wheel spin, you can add one more bet to your bet slip. Find how much time you have to access another game through your slip, and make your selection. If satisfied with your decision, enter your stake and hit the place bet button.

Ways to Place Your Bet

Betslip Mode and Casino Chips Mode are the two ways to place your bet. By default, the Casino Chips Mode is turned on. The difference between both is that in the Betslip Mode the bet types are more compared to Casino Chips Mode.

You can turn off the Casino Chips Mode using the Settings menu. To use these modes, log into your account and make a deposit. After that, the process of placing bets differs slightly in each mode.

  • Check the chip value selected and tap on the betting position you desire on the Casino Chips layout.
  • If you’ve chosen the Betslip Mode, select a betting category and choose the outcome of the draw.

Features

Besides thrilling gameplay, Wheel of Fortune makes it convenient for the player to enjoy as per their style and preferences. The settings related to sound, effects, and video are more compared to popular games like Dream Catcher by Evolution Games.

Studio Sounds

If you prefer a silent online gambling experience, turn off the sound effects. Go to the Settings menu and switch off the toggle for this option.

Game Effects

Similarly, turn off the game effects if overlays and animations bother you. The option is accessible from the Settings menu and helps you concentrate on the gameplay deeply.

Change How You Place Bets

As mentioned before, you can either use Casino Chips Mode or Betslips Mode to place a bet. The Settings menu shows the toggle for the default Casino Chips Mode that you can turn off anytime.

Odds Format

Not every punter prefers fractional odds. If you want them in decimal, American, or Hongkong format, just press the button for your preferred option under the Odds format dropdown.

Video Quality

Wheel of Fortune has multiple video quality levels, like 1080p, 540p, or Auto. These options show that it’s designed to adjust based on your internet speed and device capability.
